The Hiding Place is one of those rare books that I have read
more than once (three times now). It is the story of Corrie ten
Boom, a Dutch woman whose family joined the underground to hide
Jews during the Nazi occupation of her native Holland. Their
trust in God is severely tested when Corrie, her father and
sister Betsie are found out and taken to Nazi concentration
camps.
Loving our enemies is one of Jesus’ most challenging
doctrines. It is difficult to love and forgive those who
intentionally hurt us. You will be deeply inspired (as was
Corrie) with Betsie’s willingness to love and serve those in
the camps, even her brutal guards. Betsie also teaches Corrie
(and us) how to find peace and purpose in the midst of trials
and adversity.
The Hiding Place will inspire you to be a better disciple of
Christ. It is one of the top five non-scriptural books I have
ever read.

Note: You will also enjoy Tramp for the
Lord, written by Corrie of her experiences after the war.
